Back At It

Looks like I had a little bloggy vacation as well as a real getaway. So, I'll get everyone caught up on things now.

Before leaving California we were able to take in a day at Disneyland and California Adventure. Thanks Glenna! There is just something so comforting about going on the same old rides and seeing that they haven't changed a bit. We also got to take in an Angel game, and even luckier that it was bobblehead night. There is also something about taking in a ballgame in an outdoor stadium that is just so much better than the indoor stadium we have here in Phoenix. Before leaving town I insisted that we head down to Huntington Beach. We had breakfast at Ruby's at the end of the pier and got to enjoy a spectacular view and watch the birds fish for their breakfast. Then we loaded up the car, including Molly, and headed home. We were home by late Wednesday afternoon. All in all it was a great trip and so much fun to reconnect with friends and family that we don't get to see often enough. And, it was a great diversion from day to day life.

And who should greet me on Thursday morning? Just 30 days past my D&C? That's right . . . Aunt Flo and she brought with her a couple of additional, really annoying guests, Backache and Cramps. I went to acupuncture on Friday and that was great. However, it was Sunday before Backache and Cramps left me. I had always heard that the first cycle after a miscarriage came quietly and was pretty uneventful. HA! Again, I come out on the short end of the odds. Anyhow, the silver lining here is that I am really glad that my body is getting back to normal and I'm encouraged as we gear up to try again with this whole baby thing.

  2. Good luck on this cycle! I will say a prayer for you.

I am also glad you were able to take a vacation. That is something I should have done much sooner after my miscarriage.

  4. Your attitude about all of this is impressive. Your comments to me awhile back re hope, and my month free of hope, has sorta kicked me in the butt again about at least being more positive.
