Isn't this a nice picture of our bottle cupboard? And yes, it really has been that neat, except for when all of the bottles have been in the dishwasher. However, this cupboard has looked
exactly like this for the past week. You see, with a bit of
meanness encouragement, Andrew has
given up sworn off (cold turkey, no less) his beloved baabaas. Last Monday I sent him off to the babysitter with his milk in a sippy cup rather than a bottle. He wasn't happy, but by the end of the day had managed just fine. Andrew hasn't looked back since. He simply gets his milk in sippy cups now. On the one hand, if truth be told, I'm glad to be done washing the 27 parts of a Dr. Brown's bottle, but on the other hand, I'm a little sad to be done with this phase. While I will regain some cupboard space, I'll save the bottles in hopes of needing them again. Soon.
In the meantime, here's my sweet boy
learning to use a spoon flinging oatmeal with a spoon, and drinking from a sippy cup. Oh, and Molly hoping for a taste.
He is precious.
ReplyDeleteChris he looks like he is enjoying what he is doing.!
We are all anxious to see him and you & Brian . love to all
Maggie and Delta wish to say hello to Molly, and express fervent hope that Andrew starts eating things with meat soon. Steak is sooo much better than oatmeal!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to put those Dr. Brown's bottles to rest...too many stupid parts. But, it's bittersweet when our babies keep growing up right before our eyes. I know you're so proud of the little guy that Andrew is becoming! He's PRECIOUS!!!
ReplyDeleteA sad but good day. Pretty soon he will be in college! It's nice to be at that next step. I hope you get to use them again real soon.

Woohoo!!! Go Andrew!
ReplyDeleteAnd I was just daydreaming about that day myself... ahhh. Months to go.
I can totally relate to a bitter sweet change brought on by a child who is clearly growing up too fast for either of our tastes. How exciting though and look how happy he looks flinging his food. YAY for milestones!
ReplyDeleteWe also use Dr. Browns and are starting to phase them out.
ReplyDeleteWay to go!
