Look What I'm Reading Next

I've got a new book that I'm super excited to read. It's called Misery Loves Cabernet written by Kim Gruenenfelder. I'm excited about it for a couple of reasons. First of all, I read her first book called A Total Waste of Makeup and I found it to be completely hilarious and entertaining. It made me laugh and completely took me away from my less than glamorous life. Cabernet brings back Charlie and all of her shenanigans and I'm eager to see how things turn out.

I have another reason I'm eager to start reading. You see, I went to elementary and high school with Kim and her sister, Jennifer (who was in my class). These girls were the smartest, wittiest, kindest girls I've ever met. When I was a senior in high school I thought Kim was so cool for moving to LA and going to UCLA. The next year Jennifer went there too and I didn't see them much anymore. Eventually we just lost track of each other. Truth be told, they are some of the few people from high school that I wish I hadn't lost track of. Years ago, while looking up old friends online and trying to locate Jennifer, I came across Kim. We corresponded a little bit, but then stopped. A couple of years ago I was browsing through my local Barnes and Noble (here in Arizona) and I came across a single copy of A Total Waste of Makeup. When I picked it up to take a look at it I found that it was an autographed copy! I immediately bought it and raced home with it to begin reading. I also visited Kim's website and fired off an email to her. We've been in touch ever since.

Misery Loves Cabernet hit the bookshelves just a couple of days ago. Now you know how I plan to spend my weekend! I've got it all planned out . . . B will be occupied all weekend. His friends just arrived from California and they will be busy with Nascar stuff all weekend. That leaves me free to hang out with Andrew and enjoy my new book. If you are looking for an entertaining, hilarious escape from your everyday life, then I highly suggest that you pick up this book and start reading. If you do, please let me know!
