Spring Has Sprung

Even I have to admit that Arizona is a pretty nice place to be in the spring. The days are all warm and sunny with vast blue skies. The evenings cool off, but not too much. We can leave our windows open all the time and enjoy the screen doors on the front door and on the back patio. The plants are all blooming like crazy in vibrant colors of red, orange, yellow and pink. According to Brian the best part is that regular season baseball is in full swing. Not only that, but the Diamondbacks leave the roof open at the stadium this time of year and there is nothing better than a baseball game exposed to the perfect night air.

However, the surest sign that spring is here is the amount of company we have! The weekend before last Brian's buddies from California were here for the April Nascar race. Then, this past weekend our friends Michelle and Eddie were visiting from California. We were able to spend some time at the newly opened Margaritaville and take in a baseball game.

We will be having a whole housefull of company in another couple of weeks when we have a big party to celebrate my dad's 70th birthday. Then, the next weekend our good friends Melanie and Jim are coming out to celebrate my birthday.

I guess we should enjoy it now, because come July nobody will want to come out and see us!

  4. My father lives near Palm Springs and it's the same way. Last night we talked and he said you better come visit now or you'll have to visit this summer when it's 120 degrees. That got me motivated to schedule a trip out there.

    Enjoy the Spring!

And hey, at least it's a dry heat, right?
