We had a really great weekend with our Eric, Kari, Ashley and Ryan. On Saturday we spent time over at my parent's house and had dinner together there. On Sunday Kari and I took Ashley to my cousin's son's third birthday party. As expected, there were about 20 small children, tiny babies, and the obligatory pregnant belly all in attendance. Only one person asked me which kid was mine. Rather than bitterly answering that I am the barren one in the family, I explained that my niece was the one pushing kids out of the little cars and pinching their cheeks. After the party we headed back to the house for a little rest. Later in the afternoon we all went back to my cousin's house for a family get together. A good time was had by all!
On Monday morning Eric asked me to keep an eye on Ashley while he took a shower and Kari was busy with the baby. When I went down to the family room this is what I found. Notice the toddler is wearing a piglet costume. I keep a dresser drawer full of all kinds of costumes and Ashley is such a girl that she always wears several of them while they are here. (The night before she insisted on sleeping in a cheerleader costume.) Also notice how bummed out Molly is that said toddler has taken over her private space. As long as we have Molly, and Molly's crate, and Molly's toys we really don't need any other entertainment for Ashley.
You're too funny. That second picture, and the associated commentary, made me laugh out loud. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteLOL, that second picture really is a great one! It looks like you had a great time and I'm so proud of you for keeping your cool despite the evidence of fertility surrounding you! XOXO
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your never ending support of me. I honestly don't know how could make it through without friends like you...
ReplyDeleteThat being said, I think that Molly looks quite pleased that someone else is locked up in her "home"! Sorry I haven't been around to read and comment much but I promise to read everything this weekend and say hi!
I love the picture of your niece in the crate!
ReplyDeleteThat is just an awesome picture- thanks for sharing it! It totally made me smile.
ReplyDeleteLOVED the picture of Molly and... piglet?
