Today's visit at the RE's office went well. I had an ultrasound and bloodwork and everything turned out just like it needed to. I start the stimulation phase tomorrow. I get a Repronex injection in the morning in my thigh. I have to try it with a 1 inch needle instead of a 1/2 inch needle because I have a prior history of giant, red, itchy welts from this particular injection. The nurse is hoping that by getting it in deeper there will be less of a chance of a topical reaction. We will see. Then, in the evening I get a Follistim injection in my belly and I take 2 Clomid tablets and a couple of other pills that are supposed to help with the assisted hatching thing in a couple of weeks. So yes, basically I am taking enough drugs to force a potato to produce eggs. I followed up the doctor visit with another acupuncture appointment. I go back on Monday for another ultrasound and more bloodwork to see how I am doing. And once again I will follow up the RE appointment with an acupuncture appointment.
Oh my. We are really doing this. And I'm asking for your continued prayers and support for us. Specifically, please pray that I continue to have faith that this will all work out in the end, one way or another. Oh, and please pray that I'm not too rough on Brian over the next couple of weeks.
Best of luck!
ReplyDeleteEek, good luck! You're really really REALLY doing this - you have the drugs to prove it! Craziness. But very exciting.
