We have just finished enjoying a nice, three day weekend. Brian's parents drove out on Thursday night to stay with us for a couple of days. Friday morning was spent at the gym with Brian. Then he stayed home and hung out with his dad while they cooked and his mom and I went shopping. On Friday evening his grandparents came over to join us for dinner and swimming and later we watched a movie. Saturday was a busy day of going to the gym, running errands and helping out at my parent's house. Then Saturday evening we all got together to celebrate my mom's birthday. Yesterday morning we were at Brian's grandparent's house visiting with his aunt and boyfriend who came into town and playing video games. Brian's parents left for home in the afternoon and we hung out at home. After an early dinner Brian's aunt and her boyfriend came over to drink some of Brian's homebrew beer and we all spent a few hours in the pool. It has really been good for hubby to spend some quality relaxing time with his family.
And here we are, Monday morning and Brian is already at work. I'm getting ready to head to the gym and my first tutoring kid should be here in about 2 hours. Later today I will have an adventure in stepping out of my comfort zone. It isn't anything I like to do real often, but it needs to be done. There is a new Resolve support group starting in our area and I will be checking it out. We will see how it goes. Wish me well.
Wow, good for you! Good luck:-)
ReplyDeleteLet me know how the meeting works for you! We don't have any support systems in place around my neck of the woods...
ReplyDeleteI went to a support group sponsored by one of the hospitals. It was WAY outside of my comfort zone, but good for me at the same time. It felt good to be in a room of people who understood where I was coming from and didn't care if I cried. I hope it goes well for you.
ReplyDeleteSounds like y'all had a wonderful weekend!!! I hope the Resolve meeting goes well. I need to look into if they have a group where I live. Can't wait to hear about the meeting!
ReplyDeleteI've been to a couple resolve meetings and I had a great experience both times, despite it being out of my comfort zone to go to such a meeting. I hope it goes well for you too.
