Today was a rough day for my Dad. He didn't sleep well last night because he was very congested, and still is today. It is very difficult for him to cough because he just doesn't have the strength or muscle control. Swallowing is still an issue for him and he didn't eat very well today either. I wasn't able to talk to him today because he was just too tired. Apparently his spirits were pretty low today as well. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. Please pray that he continue to regain his strengh. Pray for healing of his spinal cord. Pray that he continue to be strong and keep his spirits high. Say a prayer for my Mom too.
Brian and I also had a rough day. Sweet Miss Molly Pie was very sick last night. We had to take her to the Animal Emergency Center because she was having trouble breathing. Molly had to stay there overnight and we were able to pick her up this morning. Turns out she has pnemonia. We are waiting for test results to tell us the cause, but more than likely it is either Bordetella or Valley Fever. We are really hoping it isn't Valley Fever because that could require a lifetime of expensive treatment for her, plus the treatment itself is toxic. On the bright side, the IV fluids and antibiotics have really helped her so far. She ate a huge meal today of ground beef and rice and she would like to have more. She has been sleeping a lot, but is closer to being her old self. And of course, we are left with a $1200 vet bill. She is worth every penny though.
