Brrrr!

I was born in Connecticut and didn't move to Southern California until I was 9, so I am familiar with cold weather. However, having spent the past 5 years in sunny Arizona, I don't handle it as well as I once did. For instance, our daytime temperatures have been in the 50's with the rain this week and I've been completely freezing.

This being said, Andy and I have an upcoming trip to Omaha to celebrate my grandma's 100th birthday. Omaha. As in Nebraska. Which has been, quite literally, colder than freezing with lots of snow. We are woefully unprepared for this.

So, I got Andy some delightful accessories to help keep him toasty should the weather not be to our liking when we get there.

He was not impressed with just the hat.

Adding mittens seemed to help quite a bit with his internal delight-0-meter.
But still, it's a bit confusing . . .
But much more fun to just run around the house in a monkey hat!
Of course to be properly attired for Omaha we may have to add at least a shirt to the ensemble . . ..

Very Cute. I love monkey things. Regarding the cold, I always say that once you need a jacket it doesn't matter if it is 50 or 10. It is all the same as long as the wind isn't blowing. 100 years is amazing. It is wonderful that you are going there with Andy. I hope you have fun. Stay warm, Laurie

  4. It has been incredibly freezing here but, actually, it's getting better. It was a balmy 40 degrees today. No coats for us. :)
