Our Swarm

Without a doubt B and I had more fun last night than anyone else in our household. We spent the evening camped out on our driveway with patio chairs, a table, a pizza and a bowl of candy, accompanied by our little swarm of bees, as we greeted the steady stream of trick-or-treaters. The weather was absolutely perfect and it was a great way to visit with the neighbors, and a great way to celebrate Andrew's first Halloween. We live in the neighborhood where I teach so there were lots of kids who know Andrew and he had such a good time watching everyone come and go.

Here's the professional shot of Andrew in his costume. It's too bad that Molly couldn't have been in the picture with him.
Andrew's cousin Ashley just can't get enough of him and always wants to be holding him, even if he isn't so thrilled with the arrangement.

And lastly, here's the reason Ryan wasn't in the picture . . . he refused to join the other kids for even 5 seconds!

Overall the evening was very surreal. Last year we went through the motions, but never expected to actually be enjoying the holiday with our own child this year. I can say that it was definitely worth the wait.

  9. where did you get the bee costume? I was looking for a bug or bee for Baby M, but they always looked too girly and this one doesn't.

  12. Molly's bee costume came from Target last year for $9.99 and Andrew's bee costume came from Walmart for $8.00 this year.
