A Little News

An opportunity has presented itself this week.

No, I won't be getting a kid. Well, it will be more like 25 to 30 eight year olds.

I've been offered a third grade teaching job at the school where I'm doing the long term sub job right now. It's actually the same school where I taught second grade a couple of years ago. Yes, that one. The one that made me so nuts that I thought I would never teach again. So what's changed? Well, in the two years that have passed there has been a change in administration and things seem to run much smoother now. I've also had the past 2 months to see for myself how things are. Teaching there will still be incredibly, needlessly, demanding. However, there is much more support available in that I have friends there that are more than willing to help me out.

So, all in all, I'm pretty excited about it. I'm hoping that it will help the time pass really quickly while we wait. And a steady, though measly, paycheck will be pretty nice too.

  10. Chris - that's great about the new job! It will definitely make the time go by faster while you wait for your baby.

Thanks for your comments on my blog. We have very similar stories, eh? I appreciate you telling me about the paperwork phase for adoption, perhaps I was expecting it to be more difficult than it really is. Thanks for clearing that up for me. May your baby come to you this year!
