And The Winner Is . . .

The votes have been tallied, and we have a winner in the "name my IVF" contest! And so IVF#1 (and only) shall forever be known as "Hey! Impreggo My Eggos!" I would like to thank Jenna Sais Quoi for the witty title. I know that I promised a highly coveted prize, however, I'm thinking that maybe a week's work of Eggo frozen waffles may be appropriate!

I'd like to mention that, despite my silence over the past many days, operation Hey! Impreggo My Eggos! is underway. I started taking Estrace two days ago. Next Thursday I go see the good doc for suppression check and hopefully I'll be good and suppressed and can start stims the next day.

In other news we have been busy, busy, busy with having the inside of the house painted. The entire thing, almost, with the exception of 3 bedrooms, the master bedroom, the kitchen and the laundry room. And now, not only are there tons of boxes all over the place that need to be unpacked, but there is major cleaning that needs to be done! I'm hoping to have it finished by the end of the weekend. When it is, I will post before and after pictures.

Having the house in turmoil also means that our efforts in the kitchen to create healthy meals have fallen by the wayside. We have had pizza, hamburgers and Chinese food all since the weekend and last night even went out for Mexican. The one night we ate at home we had sandwich wraps and Asian coleslaw, which was mighty tasty, I might add. Oh wait, I almost forgot! We did actually have a night with beef filets, twice baked potatoes and fresh vegetables. So I guess this week hasn't been too bad, but the weekend was certainly awful! My goal for the day is to come up with something decent for dinner.

  7. Aww...thanks guys! I am so happy that you like the name, that I will spare you my acceptance speech. :)

Ironically, it has been awhile since I have had a waffle.

And now that I have read your rundown of food for the week, I am starving. Yum!

  8. Thanks for stopping by my blog... Definitely you're in for the IVF roller-coaster, but all things said, once Retrieval was over, I told my husband, "This wasn't anything nearly so emotionally/physically exhausting and taxing as I'd imagined. It was almsot easy." Ha! After transfer and our not-so-hot fert report having me in tears I take it back! Plus I still have the evil TWW. Anyway, good luck and I'll be checking in on you!!!!!!!!

  9. Just wanted to say thank you for making such an emotional situation some-what light hearted. I love the title, and it really helped me to know that if someone else was positive about the same circumstances that I am in, then, what the heck--I can be more positive too... How irionic would it be if you got your BFP after IVF #1 and you craved Eggos!!!
I will be checking in on you. I am thankful that I have someone to share my first IVF cycle with.
