First of all, Andrew has been labeled "100% Perfect" by his doctor. He had his 6 month well baby visit yesterday. His ear infection is gone. Lungs sound good. Had his vaccinations. We need to finish the antibiotics, and he still needs his once daily breathing treatment, but we were able to stop the several times a day treatment. Andy is in the 75th percentile for weight, length and head circumference.
That being said, weird things, for us, have been happening for the past several nights and B and I can't take it anymore. Here's where you come in . . . . please lend your thoughts.
Andrew has always been a really good sleeper, sleeping in his room for many months now. He has also been sleeping through the night with no feedings for two months now. And by "through the night" I mean that we put him down between 7 and 8 (and literally "put him down" 'cuz he goes right to sleep) and we don't hear from him until about 6 in the morning. Anyhow, the past several nights he whines and cries in his sleep constantly. It never wakes him up, but it does wake us up. Sometimes we give him his binky, but sometimes he already has it when we check. I'm not kidding here, the boy is asleep! We pick him up and he continues to sleep, but he continues to whine or cry too. We've even waken him up to feed him. He'll gladly eat, but that doesn't take care of the problem for long.
Any ideas? Because we sure can't take this business of getting up every few minutes from midnight until 5 am!
